Mahogany Furniture
As a vessel of high value, taste, and Chinese culture, that is the true value of mahogany furniture. The use of oily, hard materials gives mahogany furniture its weighty and noble quality. Wood species such as rosewood, blackwood, sandalwood, and wenge each display distinct value characteristics depending on their origin, and their material properties differ significantly. Density, color, grain, and scent make mahogany products rich and distinct from one another. Due to the particularity of the
A vessel for high value, taste, and Chinese culture — that is the worth of Hongmu furniture. The use of oily hardwoods gives Hongmu furniture its weight and nobility. Wood species such as Huali, Suanzhi, Tanmu, and Jichi Mu vary by origin, each displaying distinct value characteristics, with even greater differences in material properties. From specific gravity, color, and grain to scent, Hongmu products are rich and uniquely distinctive.
Due to the special nature of the wood species, Hongmu furniture has particularly high demands on adhesives. PU glue series and epoxy series adhesives are widely used in the splicing, assembly, and repair of Hongmu furniture. Tung oil and wood wax oil products are also frequently applied. Traditional Chinese woodworking structures are used flexibly in Hongmu products. All these processes, combined with I.N.T. specialized targeted adhesives, make Hongmu furniture products even more perfect, fully showcasing their noble, graceful, and traditional character.

Common Problem Analysis
Why do lamination joints of oily hardwoods like Black Ebony and龙凤檀 easily crack?
Main Cause Analysis
• Bonding high specific gravity oily Tanmu uses very special adhesives. Water-based adhesives cannot achieve adequate bond strength; anhydrous polyurethane or high-strength epoxy resin adhesives are required.
Solution
• Adjust roller pressure and beam height to ensure a tight press fit. Because the material is special and adhesives struggle to penetrate and create bond strength, the bonding area should be increased to ensure bond strength at the joint. This is usually achieved by processing the joint surfaces into finger-joint bonding or tongue-and-groove bonding to increase the bonding area, ensuring bond strength at the joint.
Why do assembly structures in Hongmu furniture tend to become loose and develop cracks?
Cause of Problem
• The moisture content of the veneer is too high. After the edge banding is exposed to air for a period, the veneer absorbs moisture. When the adhesive encounters water during edge banding, it cools rapidly, shortening the adhesive's open time. Or the high moisture may have already caused separation between the veneer and non-woven fabric. Assembly of Hongmu furniture must use anhydrous PU adhesive or epoxy resin adhesive to achieve structural bonding strength. Water-based adhesives cannot be used for bonding Hongmu type materials.
Solution
• For Hongmu assembly structures, due to the oily nature of the substrate, it is difficult for the adhesive to play the primary structural role. The key lies in the structural design of the assembly. A sufficiently large structural bonding area and machining precision are required to ensure the long-term durability of the assembly structure. The adhesive plays a supporting role in the structural strength of the assembly.
