Blister Wall Panel Line Wrapping
Solution Introduction
IWG Woodworking Adhesive is mainly suitable for wrapping PVC/CPL/veneer sheets on MDF/PB/wood plastic/aluminum profiles, and processing and manufacturing various application line products using cold/hot packaging equipment processes. According to different processing equipment and quality requirements, a comprehensive set of adhesive series applications are provided.
Adhesive series:
▲ PVC, MDF, PB, single component water-based adhesive/polyurethane (oil-based low-temperature (40 ℃)) coating adhesive
▲ PVC and wood plastic/aluminum profiles, two-component polyurethane (oil-based low-temperature (40 ℃) coating adhesive
▲ PVC and wood plastic/aluminum profiles, PUR hot melt coating adhesive
▲ Wooden veneer sheet/MDF, PB board, EVA/PO/PUR thermal coating adhesive series

Common problem analysis
What is the reason why the lines wrapped in wood veneer tend to bubble when coated with UV light?
Main reasons and solutions:
• The bark itself contains too much oil and undergoes high temperature and substrate separation.
• The adhesive used for bonding the back of the wooden veneer without a protective cloth has low heat resistance, resulting in the separation of the non protective cloth back layer and the wooden veneer during UV, or the non protective cloth back layer during water-based UV due to the non waterproof separation of the wooden veneer composite adhesive. It is recommended to use a minimum of D3 waterproof grade adhesive for the back layer and wooden veneer composite to ensure better waterproofing.
• The heat resistance and adhesion of the hot melt adhesive used for coating should meet the high-temperature strength requirements of UV rays. It is recommended to use PO type hot melt adhesive or PUR hot melt adhesive.
• The compression of the pressure wheel of the wrapping equipment should ensure that every part can be compressed evenly and the pressure is suitable. Otherwise, areas where the pressure is not sufficient or not pressed are prone to false adhesion and foaming during UV coating.
What is the reason why PUR coating PVC is prone to foaming?
Main reasons and solutions:
• There are impurities particles in the glue or dust in the production environment that contaminate the glue and form particles.
The base material of the profile was not cleaned thoroughly, and the contaminated areas were not cleaned, resulting in poor bonding and foaming.
• The viscosity of the glue is too high and the leveling is not good. Some areas of the PVC skin are not covered with the glue itself.
• The heat resistance of the adhesive is insufficient, and the product may experience delamination and foaming of the adhesive layer in higher temperature environments.
